Stanford tests virtual coaching to help parents manage Autism's 'Insistence on Sameness'

Summary

This study is testing whether parents can learn online coaching techniques to help reduce their autistic child's rigid, repetitive behaviors and anxiety. Researchers will work with 30 families of children aged 6-10 to teach parents specific strategies through telehealth sessions. The goal is to see if this virtual approach helps children become more flexible and better manage their emotions.
