Phone calls & home monitoring aim to ease recovery after major heart surgery

NCT ID NCT06648291

Summary

This study tested whether a 4-week telehealth support program could help people recover better at home after heart bypass surgery. 160 patients were randomly assigned to receive either the telehealth program or standard follow-up care. The program included regular phone check-ins and home monitoring to see if it reduced symptoms like pain and shortness of breath, helped patients manage their own care, and improved their quality of life.
