Video vs. Face-to-Face: which genetic counseling works best?
NCT ID NCT04738708
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares genetic counseling done by video (telegenetics) with in-person visits for people at risk of hereditary breast, ovarian, or colorectal cancer. Researchers will measure how well each method helps patients make informed choices and feel empowered, as well as the costs in time and travel. About 150 adults will take part, and results will show whether video counseling is a good alternative to in-person sessions.
