New painkiller could replace morphine for teens after back surgery

Summary

This study tests if a new drug called Tegileridine is as good as morphine for pain relief in teenagers after scoliosis surgery. About 171 teens will receive either Tegileridine or morphine through a pump they control. Researchers will compare pain scores and side effects over 48 hours.
