Smart insulin pens and glucose monitors tested to improve diabetes care after hospital stay

Summary
This study looks at whether using a continuous glucose monitor and a smart insulin pen cap can help people with type 2 diabetes who start insulin in the hospital stick to their insulin schedule and control blood sugar after they go home. About 80 adults aged 18 to 70 will be split into two groups: one that sees real-time data from the devices and one that uses standard finger-prick checks. Both groups will be followed for 12 weeks to compare missed doses, blood sugar control, and satisfaction with the technology.
