Texting away the pain: app helps new moms breastfeed longer
NCT ID NCT05262920
Summary
This study tested a smartphone-based support program to help new mothers manage common breast and nipple pain during breastfeeding. Over 200 women were randomly assigned to receive either the educational program with nurse texting support or general postpartum information. The goal was to see if the program reduced pain, increased confidence, and helped mothers breastfeed exclusively for longer.
