Smart tech and team care aim to stop repeat hospital trips for diabetes crisis

NCT ID NCT06471322

Summary

This study tested whether a new support program could help people with type 1 diabetes after a serious complication called diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The program combined continuous glucose monitoring technology with follow-up from a care team. The goal was to see if this approach improved blood sugar control and reduced the need for patients to be readmitted to the hospital. The study was terminated early after enrolling only 2 participants.
