First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a special bracelet called Keen2 that helps adults with trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder) become more aware of their pulling and learn to stop. Ten participants will wear the bracelet for eight weeks, logging their emotions and activities after each pulling episode. In the second half, the bracelet sends personalized alerts to help them use coping strategies. The goal is to see if the device is easy to use and reduces hair-pulling severity.
