NCT ID NCT07443371
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether TECAR therapy, a type of energy-based heat treatment, can reduce pain and improve hand movement in people with Dupuytren's contracture (palmar fibromatosis). Thirty-six adults aged 40 to 70 with mild to moderate finger contractures will receive 20-minute sessions. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach can ease symptoms and improve daily hand function.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-surgical option to reduce pain and improve hand function for people with Dupuytren's contracture.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage trial with only 36 people. It may not show clear benefits, and results may not apply to everyone with the condition.
