New heat therapy may loosen stiff fingers without surgery
NCT ID NCT07443371
First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a type of heat therapy called TECAR can reduce pain, improve finger movement, and boost hand function in people with Dupuytren's contracture (a condition where fingers bend inward). About 36 adults aged 40 to 70 with mild to moderate finger contractures will receive the treatment. The goal is to see if this non-surgical approach can ease symptoms and help with daily tasks.
