VA tests coaching program to help veterans with chronic pain and opioid safety

Summary
This study looks at whether adding Whole Health Coaching (a program that focuses on overall well-being) to standard pain management helps veterans with chronic pain. About 432 veterans who take long-term opioids and have safety concerns will take part. The goal is to see if coaching can reduce pain-related problems and make opioid use safer.
