Summary
This study is testing if having a structured meeting of different doctors (like surgeons and anesthesiologists) before surgery improves care for high-risk patients. It involves 1200 patients across 14 hospitals to see if this team approach leads to fewer serious complications, better recovery, and is cost-effective compared to standard care. Patients will answer questionnaires about their health and recovery for up to a year.
