NCT ID NCT06721572
First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested a noninvasive, needle-free device that sends a mild electrical current to specific points on the skin, similar to acupuncture. 42 adults with chronic pancreatitis used the device at home for several weeks. Researchers measured changes in pain severity and how much pain interfered with daily life. The goal was to see if this safe, self-administered approach could offer a new way to manage persistent abdominal pain.
