Brain zaps plus therapy may help stroke survivors move better

NCT ID NCT07458503

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) to a standard arm therapy (constraint-induced therapy) helps people who had a stroke more than therapy alone. Forty adults who had a stroke at least six months ago will receive 18 sessions over six weeks. Researchers will measure arm movement, muscle changes, and electrical activity to see if the combination works better.
