First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a gentle brain stimulation technique called tDCS can help people with orthorexia nervosa think more flexibly. Orthorexia is an unhealthy obsession with eating only 'pure' or healthy foods. Researchers will measure brain waves and thinking skills in 48 adults before and after real or fake stimulation. The goal is to understand how the brain works in orthorexia and whether tDCS might help.
