Ancient healing meets modern Self-Care in jaw pain battle
NCT ID NCT00856167
Summary
This study tested whether combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (like acupuncture and herbs) with a self-care education program could help people with chronic jaw pain. Researchers enrolled 135 adults with temporomandibular dysfunction to compare different stepped-care approaches over 8 weeks and 18 months. The goal was to see if this combination could reduce pain and improve daily function better than self-care alone.
