First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a specific chemotherapy combination (thiotepa, busulfan, and fludarabine) given before a stem cell transplant from a half-matched donor. It includes 93 older adults (ages 55-75) with acute myeloid leukemia in first remission. The goal is to see if this approach can keep the cancer from coming back and improve survival, while monitoring side effects like graft-versus-host disease.
