First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study follows 209 children and adults hospitalized with tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) in the Czech Republic for one year after they leave the hospital. Researchers check on participants at several points to see which symptoms like tiredness, headaches, or memory problems last and how the illness affects daily life, school, or work. The goal is to better understand recovery and help doctors and public health officials improve care and vaccination recommendations.
