New test could give faster warning if TB treatment is failing
NCT ID NCT07157904
Summary
This study aims to see if a new, faster lab test can help doctors monitor how well tuberculosis (TB) treatment is working. Researchers will follow 300 adults in Kenya who are starting TB treatment, collecting samples regularly for six months. They will use the new test to measure a bacterial marker in sputum and urine, hoping to find patterns that predict whether a patient's treatment will be successful or not.
