Summary

This study tested whether a vaccine called H56:IC31 can prevent tuberculosis (TB) from coming back in people who have already been successfully treated for TB. About 831 HIV-negative adults in South Africa and Tanzania took part. Half got the vaccine, half got a placebo, and researchers tracked how many got TB again over time.
