First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 1-month daily TB prevention pill works as well as a 3-month weekly option in two groups: people living with HIV and HIV-negative household contacts of TB patients. About 1,000 participants in South Africa and India will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The main goal is to see which regimen more people complete, with fewer side effects.
