New scan could reveal hidden lung damage from TB
NCT ID NCT07077213
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of PET scan can detect lung scarring (fibrosis) in people with tuberculosis. Researchers will give 30 adult TB patients a special imaging tracer and perform a full-body scan to see if it highlights areas of lung damage. The goal is to develop a better, non-invasive way to monitor the long-term lung problems that can remain even after TB treatment.
