New TB skin test could be more accurate – large trial underway

Summary
This study tests a new skin test called EEC to see if it can better diagnose tuberculosis (TB) infection in people aged 3 and older. About 1,784 volunteers will take part, including people with TB, healthy people, and those with other lung diseases. The goal is to see if EEC is as good as or better than current tests, and to check its safety.
