Ear stimulation device could boost mobility after spinal cord injury

NCT ID NCT07562113

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a small device worn on the ear that gently stimulates a nerve (taVNS) to see if it is safe and comfortable for people who recently had a spinal cord injury. Researchers will also check if adding taVNS before walking therapy might help improve mobility. About 50 adults will take part in two phases: first a short session to measure safety, then a session combined with mobility therapy.
