Summary
This study tests whether adding a gentle electrical stimulation to the ear (transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation, or taVNS) to standard physiotherapy can reduce pain, improve shoulder movement, and boost quality of life in adults with frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis). Forty participants aged 18 to 65 will receive 15 physiotherapy sessions over three weeks, with either active taVNS or a sham device. Researchers will measure changes in pain and disability before and after treatment.
