Second balloon pump could make new heart valves last longer

Summary
This study is testing if a second, quick balloon inflation during a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVI) makes the new valve work better and last longer. Patients with severe aortic valve narrowing will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard procedure or the standard procedure plus this extra inflation step. Researchers will track how well the valve works and how patients fare over five years to see if the extra step is safe and effective.
