Heart valve study aims to predict who really needs a pacemaker
NCT ID NCT05308888
First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at 100 people getting a new heart valve through a tube (TAVI) to see if inflammation in the heart's electrical system causes rhythm problems. Researchers will use PET scans and ECGs to find clues that predict who might need a pacemaker. The goal is to avoid unnecessary pacemakers and their side effects.
