Taurine supplement tested to soothe radiation burns in cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether taking taurine granules before daily radiation can reduce painful mouth sores and skin burns in 160 oral cancer patients. Half get taurine, half get a placebo. The goal is to ease side effects and improve quality of life during treatment.
