First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at older adults (ages 65-85) who experience hallucinations or delusions for the first time, to see if these symptoms are early signs of dementia. Researchers will use blood tests and brain scans to measure tau protein buildup, a hallmark of Alzheimer's. The goal is to better understand the link between late-onset psychosis and cognitive decline.
