Simple at-home training may restore taste for cancer patients on TKIs

NCT ID NCT07258589

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a simple at-home taste and smell training program can improve taste function in cancer patients who experience taste changes from tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). About 90 adults from 12 Dutch hospitals will either do the training or receive standard care. Researchers will measure taste and smell at the start and after 12 weeks to see if the training helps.
