First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at how tartaric acid, a natural compound in wine, grapes, and grape juice, is absorbed and processed by the body. Thirty healthy adults will consume these foods and provide blood and urine samples over 24 hours. The goal is to see if the source of tartaric acid affects how much enters the bloodstream. This is a knowledge-gathering study, not a treatment.
