NCT ID NCT06259708
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether using low-intensity focused ultrasound on a brain area called the zona incerta (ZI) can reduce tremors in people with Parkinson's disease. Twenty participants received the treatment, and researchers measured tremor severity and brain activity using fMRI. The goal was to see if targeting the ZI works better than the usual target, the Vim, and to understand how it affects brain networks.
