Smart scans guide radiation blitz against tough sarcoma tumors

NCT ID NCT05301283

Summary

This study is testing whether using special imaging analysis can help doctors aim higher doses of radiation at the most aggressive parts of a sarcoma tumor before surgery. The goal is to see if this targeted approach kills more of the tumor, making it easier for surgeons to remove it completely with clear margins. Researchers will measure how much of the tumor is dead at the time of surgery, which is linked to better long-term control of the cancer.
