Precision radiation aimed at boosting cancer transplant success
NCT ID NCT04262843
Summary
This study is testing a new, more targeted form of radiation as a preparatory step before a stem cell transplant. It is for patients with certain types of leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome who need a transplant but do not have a fully matched donor. The goal is to see if this focused radiation can help control the disease while causing fewer side effects to healthy organs than traditional whole-body radiation.
