New scan could spare cancer patients harsh side effects
NCT ID NCT07241273
Summary
This trial is testing whether a special scan can help doctors target radiation more precisely for throat cancer. Currently, patients receive radiation to both sides of the neck, which causes more side effects. The study will see if using this scan to guide treatment to only the affected side can maintain cancer control while improving quality of life for 128 participants.
