Doctors track new radiation technique in breast cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT01440010
Summary
This study created a registry to track the long-term results of a specific radiation technique for breast cancer. Over 1,100 patients in Germany received a targeted dose of radiation directly to the tumor site during their surgery, followed by a shorter course of standard external radiation. The goal was to monitor how well this approach controlled the cancer and what side effects patients experienced over time.
