First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 46 infants under 2 years old in the pediatric ICU with severe bronchiolitis. Researchers used a heart ultrasound measurement called TAPSE to see if it could predict how long children would stay in the ICU or need a breathing tube. The goal was to learn if this simple test helps doctors know which children are at higher risk.
