Taping fails to boost performance in young volleyball players with ankle issues

NCT ID NCT07165613

First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looked at whether different taping methods improve performance in 29 adolescent volleyball players with ankle instability. Players were divided into groups receiving kinesiology tape, dynamic tape, or no tape, and then tested on hopping tasks. Results showed no significant performance difference between taped and non-taped groups. The study suggests taping may not help performance in these athletes, and more research is needed.
