First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early study tests whether a cream called Tapinarof, already approved for psoriasis, can improve skin rashes caused by lupus. Ten adults with chronic or subacute cutaneous lupus will apply the cream for 16 weeks. Researchers will measure rash changes and study skin and blood samples to see how the treatment affects the immune system.
