First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks (TAP and QLB) for pain after open inguinal hernia repair. 70 adults aged 18-65 will receive one block before surgery under spinal anesthesia. The goal is to see which block reduces opioid use and pain scores over 24 hours. Both blocks worked well, but QLB may offer longer-lasting relief.
