First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tested a new system called Tandem Freedom in 10 adults with type 1 diabetes who already use Control-IQ technology. Participants used their usual system at home for a week, then switched to Tandem Freedom during a supervised hotel stay. The goal was to check safety by counting severe low blood sugar and diabetic ketoacidosis events, and to see how well the system kept blood sugar in a healthy range.
