Summary
This study is testing a program called 'Talk With Me Baby' that trains pediatricians and nurses to coach parents on how to have more conversations with their infants during regular well-child checkups. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost advice given in the doctor's office can improve the home language environment and help prevent language delays in young children. Researchers will compare language development in 400 babies whose parents receive this coaching to those who receive standard care.
