New shot for immune deficiency shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tested a new medicine called TAK-881 in 65 people with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDD), which make it hard for the body to fight infections. The goal was to see how well the body processes TAK-881 compared to an existing treatment (HYQVIA) and to check its safety. Participants received either TAK-881 or HYQVIA for up to 51 weeks, and younger children received only TAK-881 for up to 27 weeks. The study is complete, and results will help determine if TAK-881 is a safe and effective option for managing PIDD.
