Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called TAK-861 in 105 people with narcolepsy type 1, a condition that causes severe daytime sleepiness and sudden muscle weakness (cataplexy). The goal was to see if the drug could help people stay awake during the day and reduce the number of cataplexy attacks after 3 months of treatment. The trial compared TAK-861 to a placebo to measure its effectiveness and safety.
