Single-Dose blitz against recurring malaria tested in conflict zone
NCT ID NCT06575647
Summary
This study tested a strategy to control recurring malaria outbreaks in three high-risk villages in Myanmar. Researchers gave a single-dose malaria treatment (tafenoquine) to nearly all willing villagers to see if it was safe and could quickly reduce infections. The goal was to find a practical way to stop malaria from surging back in areas where health services have broken down.
