New hope for transplant patients with hepatitis b: safer drug switch studied

Summary
This study looks at whether switching kidney or liver transplant patients with chronic hepatitis B to a newer drug called tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) is safe and effective. About 52 adults who have had a transplant and are on other hepatitis B medications will be switched to TAF. Researchers will track kidney function, virus levels, and how well patients stick to their medication.
