Heart drug trial offers hope for complex congenital heart patients
NCT ID NCT05206955
Summary
This study is testing whether the medication tadalafil can improve blood flow and organ function in adults born with a serious heart defect who had a Fontan surgery. Researchers will compare tadalafil to a placebo in 80 participants to see if it helps their heart and lungs work better, protects their liver and kidneys, and improves their exercise ability and quality of life. The goal is to find a better way to manage the long-term health challenges these patients face.
