First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to replace a narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis) using a tube inserted through the armpit, guided only by ultrasound instead of X-rays. About 20 people with severe symptoms will be enrolled to see if this approach is safe and works well. If successful, it could reduce radiation exposure and make the procedure available to more patients.
