Nanoparticles join radiation to fight rare cancer recurrence

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether injecting tiny tantalum particles directly into a recurrent soft tissue sarcoma tumor, followed by radiation, is safe and tolerable. Nine adults with a specific type of sarcoma that has come back after standard treatment will receive one of three doses. The goal is to find the safest dose and watch for side effects.
