New thyroid treatment trial aims to ease lingering fatigue
NCT ID NCT07424183
Summary
This study is for people with hypothyroidism who still feel tired and unwell despite having normal blood test results on their current medication. It will test if adding a second thyroid hormone (T3) to the standard treatment (T4) for six months improves quality of life, energy, and other symptoms better than the standard treatment alone. Researchers will measure symptoms, mood, and thinking skills in about 60 participants.
