Can a Bladder-Directed biologic outsmart Treatment-Resistant bladder cancer?
NCT ID NCT06971614
First seen Aug 18, 2026 ยท Last updated Aug 18, 2026
Summary
This phase II trial is testing an experimental biologic called T3011, given directly into the bladder, for people with high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer that has not responded to BCG therapy or chemotherapy. The study aims to see if this treatment can shrink or eliminate tumors and delay cancer recurrence. Participants will receive regular bladder instillations of T3011 and be monitored closely for safety and effectiveness.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- T3011, an experimental biologic given directly into the bladder
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with high-risk bladder cancer that has not responded to standard therapies, potentially delaying or avoiding bladder removal surgery.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase (II) trial, so the treatment may not work for everyone or could cause significant side effects. The results will need confirmation in larger studies before it becomes widely available.
